We are working hard and spending a lot of extra time and energy to try to keep everyone informed about what is happening in class. Check the teacher pages every day for each of your classes. Email teachers with questions. IF you ARE sick with COVID, please do as much work as you can while you are out. This year's annual FBLA and FFA food drive began October 1st and will go until the first Friday in November (November 6th). Students and teachers are asked to bring food items to donate. Community members are also welcome to bring food items. There is a table set up in the entrance by the offices. Our goal for this year is 1600 items. Last year our goal was 1500 and we were a few hundred short. We are setting the goal high for an extra challenge and we know we can achieve it. If we meet our goal of 1600 items, students and teachers will get Tuesday, December 22nd off (the day before Christmas break). This is a tough time for all communities and any little bit we can do to give back this Thanksgiving will be so appreciated, so consider getting your donations to the school these next couple of weeks!

Falcon Nation: It was great to see the students show up at school this morning. The first day of school is so exciting! Reminder to parents: Masks are not required for students at this time. However, information that we have received from Two Rivers states that in the event a student contracts Covid, any student not wearing a mask in that students classroom may have to quarantine for 14 days. We are strongly encouraging that staff and students wear masks to avoid having to quarantine in the event of exposure. Each student will receive five free masks on Monday.

Glenwood Einspahr, Hildreth (1950) will be inducted into the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame in August. A one-man track team, competing without a coach, Einspahr gave Hildreth a Class D co-championship by winning the 100- and 220-yard dashes and the long jump. A two-time all-state selection in basketball, he led Hildreth to an undefeated state championship in 1949. He played freshman football at Nebraska and after a stint in the Air Force, he played basketball at Kearney State College.
