students petting the bottle calves

The Wilcox-Hildreth FFA chapter held a petting zoo for the elementary and middle school students on Wednesday, April 24, 2023. Students had the opportunity to learn about a variety of animals, including cattle, horses, goats, sheep, dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and even a bearded dragon. FFA members set up different stations for the middle school students to rotate through. Students had the opportunity to learn more about the animals at the different stations. Spencer Jezbera showed the students how to shear sheep, Makayla Johnson had the opportunity to play an ag game teaching kids about different things in the agriculture industry as well as teaching them about our grow towers, Addison Overholser played ag bingo with the students, and other members taught the students facts about the animals at their stations.
