Songbird Coffee Co. will be set up at the school for district wrestling Saturday, February 15. Guests and the public are invited to purchase specialty drinks from 8am till close!

These students had the top three highest math problems answered correctly for the month of January in the Prodigy Math Challenge. The top 3 overall students in grades 2-6 were Aidan Aspegren, Ryder Bunger, and Joe Nitchie. Congratulation to all of you for helping us win first place in the state of NE!


Prodigy is a research-based online tool for teachers and students. Students get to play fun games and teachers get to create individualized assignments for students to practice their math skills. Grades 2-6 won First Place in the State during the January math challenge and earned a $500 Dominoe's Pizza party along with other great Prodigy swag!! Cheer them on!!



Grades 2-6 are competing in the Prodigy State Math Challenge in hopes of making it to Nationals in May. Our WILCOX-HILDRETH Falcons Won FIRST PLACE in the State of NEBRASKA! We competed against ALL schools in Nebraska, Prodigy knows no Class size! Because we won first place for the month we earned a Dominoe's pizza party along with other great prizes. This puts us in the Platinum tier heading towards Nationals where we could win a $100,000 technology grant for our entire district! Let's Go Falcons! Let's Be Great!


Book Tasting at the Hildreth Public Library was a perfect activity for this chilly week! Third, Fourth, and Fifth grade got to 'taste' books and give them a review! Thank you Vicki at the Hildreth Public Library for having us this week!




Falcon Nation: your Falcon girls basketball team has earned the right to host the D2-6 Subdistrict tournament next Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday! The Falcons will open play Tuesday night at 6:00 and take on the winner of the Loomis/Bertrand game from Monday night. Let's pack the gym next week and continue showing these girls your great support!


We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to help work the concession stand tomorrow! Football and girls basketball are the programs running them. Any help during this big weekend is much appreciated!

Congratulations to Katelyn Bunger and Cara Bunger! Katelyn was selected as a recipient for the RHOP scholarship at Wayne State and alternate for KHOP at UNK in the nursing program. Cara was selected as the recipient for the KHOP scholarship at UNK and the alternate for RHOP at Wayne State in physical therapy. These programs are very competitive, and the programs guarantee these students a seat at UNMC.

Due to the forecasted snow storm Tuesday evening, we are making some changes to tomorrow's basketball games with Overton. There will be no boys JV, and girls varsity will now start at 4:30, with boys varsity to follow. Senior night recognitions will take place before each game.

The Falcon wrestling team finished their dual season 9-2 placing 4th at the state dual tournament today! These guys battled hard all season and their hard work paid off! Great job Falcons!


Here is a look at the activities for the upcoming week at Wilcox-Hildreth. Tuesday night will be the last regular season home basketball games for the year; we will recognize senior girls and boys basketball players. Reminder that there is no school on Friday as we will be hosting the D-2 Boys District Wrestling tournament on Friday (2:00 pm) and Saturday (9:30 am). Doors will open to the public one hour before wrestling begins each day.


Thank you to all of Falcon Nation for the way you supported our student athletes today at State Duals and at the girls FKC championship game as the Lady Falcons finished as conference runner-ups! As coaches and players we are all so appreciative of the support you give us!
