
Tonight’s subdistrict basketball games will still be played as originally scheduled: Wilcox-Hildreth vs. Loomis at 6:00, Amherst vs. Overton at 7:30. If road conditions around other participating schools force any changes, we will let everyone know that as soon as we receive that information from those schools.

No School Tuesday, February 18 due to snow and extreme cold. Girls District BB games will be held as scheduled.

NDE is celebrating World Language Week! Our classes spent the day listening to presentations, guest speakers, and doing activities with schools across the state. During some activities today, Kyler, Kaeden, and Alex placed 2nd for knowledge about famous Spanish speakers, and Craig placed first for Mesoamérica knowledge! #falconfunfact

The opening round game of the D2-6 Girls Basketball Subdistrict tournament between Loomis and Bertrand that we are hosting will now begin at 5:30 this evening.

Songbird Coffee Co. will be set up at the school for district wrestling Saturday, February 15. Guests and the public are invited to purchase specialty drinks from 8am till close!

These students had the top three highest math problems answered correctly for the month of January in the Prodigy Math Challenge. The top 3 overall students in grades 2-6 were Aidan Aspegren, Ryder Bunger, and Joe Nitchie. Congratulation to all of you for helping us win first place in the state of NE!


Prodigy is a research-based online tool for teachers and students. Students get to play fun games and teachers get to create individualized assignments for students to practice their math skills. Grades 2-6 won First Place in the State during the January math challenge and earned a $500 Dominoe's Pizza party along with other great Prodigy swag!! Cheer them on!!



Grades 2-6 are competing in the Prodigy State Math Challenge in hopes of making it to Nationals in May. Our WILCOX-HILDRETH Falcons Won FIRST PLACE in the State of NEBRASKA! We competed against ALL schools in Nebraska, Prodigy knows no Class size! Because we won first place for the month we earned a Dominoe's pizza party along with other great prizes. This puts us in the Platinum tier heading towards Nationals where we could win a $100,000 technology grant for our entire district! Let's Go Falcons! Let's Be Great!


Book Tasting at the Hildreth Public Library was a perfect activity for this chilly week! Third, Fourth, and Fifth grade got to 'taste' books and give them a review! Thank you Vicki at the Hildreth Public Library for having us this week!




Falcon Nation: your Falcon girls basketball team has earned the right to host the D2-6 Subdistrict tournament next Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday! The Falcons will open play Tuesday night at 6:00 and take on the winner of the Loomis/Bertrand game from Monday night.
