This Counselor's Challenge is all about moving. Exercise is an important part of mental health because it causes your brain to release endorphins, which makes you feel happy. I challenge Mrs. Simmons and our Falcon Nation to find some ways to incorporate exercise this week! Go on a walk, ride your bike with your family, or try some yoga! Show us what you came up with @whfalcons #FalconNation!

First banner is up. Thank you Cornerstone for helping us honor our seniors

Part of our great staff coming in on a day off to make sure our kids have food. I love our school and how everyone cares about each other and the communities.

Thank you to all parents, students, and staff for coming out for the Staff Parade this evening. Please enjoy a video from the Wil-Hil staff. We miss you all https://spark.adobe.com/video/J0mnbZsvZ0DRd

Staff Parade. It was great to see all the kids and parents!

7-12 students and parents, check out the counselors’ webpage! A lot of colleges are offering virtual college visits. Even though you can’t see your college in person, it might help you to start creating a list of colleges you may want to visit in the future! There are links provided on the website to start your tours!
Counselor challenge- Mrs. Mach and I are continuing our weekly challenges to keep our Falcons going strong. This week is all about reaching out to people. During this time of year we are used to seeing our loved ones, but with social distancing to help keep everyone safe and healthy, our connections between others can get lost. This week I challenge Mrs. Mach and our Falcons to write a handwritten note to someone and drop it in the mail. @whfalcons or #falconnation! Stay Connected!!

It was so fun to zoom with the 8th grade class! They are quite the class... we saw several dogs, a cat, and even a baby chick! One student was even in a tractor, and we celebrated a birthday! Stay strong, 8th grade and thanks for zooming!

We have some more fun enrichment activities for families this week! These will also be posted in the news section of the app & website. It has been so fun seeing everyone's results. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OAo19ANFM5fFo4pZFYWSrpVd2lzKvil98md5RLOTVEo/edit?usp=sharing
Our first Counselor Challenge is completed! Thanks for participating, Falcon Nation and Mrs. Simmons. Focus on the positives and you will have a powerful mindset!

Glenwood Einspahr, Hildreth (1950) will be inducted into the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame in August. A one-man track team, competing without a coach, Einspahr gave Hildreth a Class D co-championship by winning the 100- and 220-yard dashes and the long jump. A two-time all-state selection in basketball, he led Hildreth to an undefeated state championship in 1949. He played freshman football at Nebraska and after a stint in the Air Force, he played basketball at Kearney State College.
