The boys and girls basketball games at Franklin on Friday will still be played as scheduled, but will be varsity only. Girls varsity will begin at 6:00, with the boys game to follow. We will share any updates with you once they become available to us.

WHPS would like to congratulate 2023 Alumni and current UNO student, Abby Tarr, on being chosen to present research findings at Yale University in mid-March for the 2025 Division 10 APA Conference. Abby is a Research Assistant in Dr. Roni Reiter-Palmon's I/O Psychology Creativity Lab, which is a faculty research lab that hosts grad students. Abby will serve as the lead presenter and second author at a poster session on The Impact of Tolerance for Ambiguity on Kaufman's Creativity Domains. Our school district is very proud to be able to say that Abby was one of our students!

The junior class is looking for poodle skirts for servers at prom. If you have one you'd be willing to loan us, please contact Ms. Hance or Mr. Yochum. We need 4 skirts (sizes unknown right now)

Falcon Nation: Come support your 6-0 Falcon Wrestlers as they take on 6-0 Weeping Water and 7-4 Alma in an action packed night this Friday 5pm. We will be honoring Seniors and Falcons PK-6 get free admission! Falcon Wrestling Club Members get a free bag of popcorn! Stick around for an autograph session with both the boys and girls teams!

Attached are the brackets for the FKC boys and girls basketball tournaments. Our boys will open tournament play this Saturday, February 1st, in Overton at 4:00 pm. The girls team will play SEM at 6:00 on Monday February 3rd, also in Overton.



Falcon Nation: here is a look at this week's activities. Our boys wrestling team will have their final home triangular this Friday evening. Senior wrestlers will be recognized, and the team will sign autographs post-meet! Brackets for the FKC basketball tournament will be released Monday morning. We will share the official game times, locations, and opponents with you once we receive them.


The Falcons wrapped up their 3-day gauntlet tour finishing in 3 place scoring 131.5 points at the Neligh-Oakdale tournament! Congratulations to the medalists 6th Mikah, 5th Brody and Brandon, 4th Jacob, 2nd Gavin and Cauy, and champion Graiden! Great job Falcons!









The Lady Falcon Wrestlers traveled to Axtell today. Congrats to Dinah and Ayva who both placed fourth!

Thank you to the Falcons and Wildcats that came out for a great night of basketball, cheer, and dance. Our players battled, our Dazzler's shined, and our crowds were respectful and supportive. An extra thanks to Dusty and his team at Highstreet Insurance for the free popcorn!

The Falcon wrestling team continues their streak placing second today at the South Loup Invite scoring 138.5 team points. Congratulations to the medalists Mikah 4th, Kyler, Eli and Cauy 3rd, Gavin 2nd and champion's Brody and Graiden. Also congratulations to Brody for earning his 100th career win and to Graiden for his earning his 150th career win, a feet accomplished on by a few.




Kindergartners, 1st graders, and 2nd graders had a great time celebrating the 100th day of school by rotating through some stations this morning!











Our Falcon Families in grades 3-5 competed to build the longest paper chain in 20 minutes. Mr. Volk's Falcon Family won, but Ms. Sheen's Falcon Family was incredibly close! All Falcon Families worked as a Family to construct the chains! Mr. Volk's chain was over 67 feet long!
