As we sit on the tarmac waiting for weather to clear up, here are some pictures of our visit to Arlington National Cemetery on our last day in DC. We enjoyed our trip and getting to see our nation's capital, but are also anxious for the weather to clear and get back to the Good Life!

The Falcons had a busy and impactful Day 2 in DC. After our morning on Capitol Hill, we spent the afternoon visiting the 9/11 Memorial at the Pentagon, the MLK Monument, as well as the Holocaust Museum. This evening we visited the Korean War Memorial, the Vietnam Wall, where we found the name of a local veteran, Michael Ruhter of Minden, who died in combat in 1969. We then ended our day visiting the Lincoln Memorial. Tomorrow we are off to Gettysburg!

After traveling all night and morning, the Falcons have landed in DC!! Students and adults have been busy since we landed, seeing the Jefferson Memorial, the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, and American History! Before taking a break to eat dinner, we stopped at the World War II Memorial along the reflecting pool, which provided perfect shots of the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial!
