LB 243 was passed during the last legislative session. The board will discuss and may take action to increase the revenue authority of the board. This is not a vote to increase taxes. This vote will maintain local control for the school board, so that your local board may access funds beyond the 3% base increase allowed by LB 243. I encourage patrons to call me at the school with any questions that they have.
The board will be discussing next years budget at the budget workshop scheduled for Tuesday, August 29 at 9:00 am in the Wilcox conference room.

Current and future FFA members competed at local county fairs this summer. We have students show at the Harlan, Franklin and Kearney county fairs through out the month of July. At the fair students get to show off their livestock. We have students who show cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, small animals as well as many static entries. County fairs are a great way for kids to showcase their homegrown or boughten animals. They are also judged in showmanship to see how well they can show their animals.
